  • Hospital indemnity & short-term medical
  • Disability income protection if you can’t work
  • Long-term care planning for later years
In short

Supplemental (ancillary) coverage fills the gaps a primary medical plan leaves — dental, vision and hearing, hospital indemnity, short-term medical, disability income, and long-term care. We help you add only the layers you actually need.

The gaps most plans leave

Even a good medical or Medicare plan rarely covers everything. Routine dental, vision and hearing are common gaps, and a hospital stay or an accident can bring copays and bills that add up fast. Supplemental plans pay cash or benefits toward those specific gaps, protecting your savings from the costs your main coverage does not absorb.

Protecting your income and later years

Disability income insurance replaces a portion of your paycheck if an illness or injury keeps you from working — often a family’s largest uninsured risk. Long-term care planning prepares for the cost of extended care later in life, which health insurance and Medicare largely do not cover. We help you weigh these risks and add coverage in proportion to them.

Dental, vision and hearing

Routine dental, vision and hearing care are among the most common gaps, because Original Medicare does not cover them and many medical plans include only limited benefits. Standalone dental, vision and hearing plans fill that gap for a modest premium — covering cleanings, exams, glasses, hearing aids and more. For seniors especially, these are frequent, predictable expenses that a small supplemental plan can offset, keeping surprises out of your budget.

Hospital indemnity and accident coverage

A hospital stay or an accident can bring copays, deductibles and incidental costs that add up fast, even with good primary coverage. Hospital indemnity plans pay a fixed cash benefit for each day you are hospitalized, and accident plans pay set amounts for covered injuries — money you can use for anything, from the deductible to the mortgage. These plans are especially popular alongside Medicare Advantage, where a hospital stay can carry meaningful daily copays.

Disability income — your paycheck insured

For working-age people, the ability to earn an income is usually their single most valuable asset, yet it is the one most often left uninsured. Disability income insurance replaces a portion of your paycheck if illness or injury keeps you from working, helping you keep up with everyday bills during recovery. Whether you rely on employer coverage, an individual policy or a combination, we help you understand how much of your income is actually protected — and close the gap if it is not enough.

Planning for long-term care

The cost of extended care later in life — in-home help, assisted living or a nursing facility — can be substantial, and it is largely not covered by health insurance or Medicare. Long-term care planning prepares for that risk before it arrives, whether through traditional long-term care insurance or newer hybrid life-insurance policies that include a long-term care benefit. Planning early, while you are healthy, keeps your options open and your costs lower. We walk through the approaches so you can protect your savings and your family from a large, foreseeable expense.

How we build your coverage

The goal is never to sell you every layer — it is to add protection only where you have a real gap. We look at what your primary medical or Medicare plan already covers, identify where you are exposed, and recommend the supplemental layers that genuinely close those gaps at a fair price. As an independent agency, we compare options across carriers and keep your plan right-sized as your needs change.
