Medicare Advantage Plans in Jacksonville, FL

Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, rolls your hospital, medical and usually drug coverage into one private plan. The trade-off is a network and copays, so the right plan depends on your doctors and prescriptions.

What we help with

  • Check that your doctors are in the plan network
  • Confirm your drugs are on the plan formulary
  • Compare copays, referrals and the yearly out-of-pocket max
  • Weigh extras like dental, vision or a gym benefit
  • Review your plan each fall before it changes
In short

Medicare Advantage is a private plan that bundles Part A, Part B and usually Part D, often for a low or $0 premium. In exchange you use a network and pay copays up to a yearly cap. It can fit people who want extras in one plan and whose doctors are in-network.

What does a Medicare Advantage plan actually cover?

A Part C plan changes the way you get Original Medicare. The private plan pays your claims instead of the government, and most plans fold in drug coverage plus extras like routine dental or vision.

You still pay your Part B premium, which is $202.90 a month for most people in the 2026 plan year, on top of anything the plan charges.

Is a $0 premium plan really free?

No. A $0 premium plan can still cost you when you use it. You may owe copays for visits, tests and hospital stays, up to the plan yearly out-of-pocket maximum.

A $0 plan also is not a bargain if your doctor is out of network. That is why we check your providers before you sign anything.

How is this different from a Medigap plan?

Advantage plans tend to cost less each month but use networks and copays. Medigap costs more monthly, works with any doctor that accepts Medicare, and leaves you with fewer surprise bills.

Neither one is better for everyone. It comes down to your doctors, your budget and how predictable you want your costs.

When can I enroll or switch?

Most people pick a plan during Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7. If you are already on an Advantage plan, you get a second window, Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment, from January 1 to March 31 to change once.

There is no cost and no pressure to talk it through before a deadline.

Common questions

Medicare Advantage — frequently asked

Yes. You stay enrolled in Part A and Part B and keep paying the Part B premium, which is $202.90 a month for most people in the 2026 plan year. The plan may add its own premium on top.
Your care may cost more or not be covered out of network, depending on the plan type. We can look at whether another plan keeps your doctors in-network at your next enrollment window.
Most plans include Part D drug coverage, but not all. We confirm your prescriptions are on the plan list before you enroll so there are no surprises at the pharmacy.
Yes, usually during a valid enrollment window. Keep in mind that adding a Medigap plan later can involve medical underwriting, so it helps to plan the move with someone first.
